Our club is a non-profit international organization with chapters in both the United States and Canada, and is operated for the pleasure of motorcyclists and
for anyone with an interest in motorcycles. Each state or province is considered to be an individual chapter, governed by an elected Director who is responsible
to the members in each individual chapter. There are no arbitrary requirements for membership; simply have an interest in motorcycling and be willing to get
together with fellow club members. Our hope is that this information provides you with an insight and an interest in the North American 40+ Touring Riders
Illinois Chapter.
What happens in the North American 40+ Touring Riders?
The North American 40+ Touring Riders club is basically a "get together" of people "over 40" who share an interest in motorcycling. Club activities vary by
chapter and are as diverse as the membership of the club. Members are encouraged to participate in club functions but the level of participation is up to the
individual member. Our club recognizes all types, sizes and makes of motorcycles. Even though the club is based on motorcycling, owning a motorcycle is not a
prerequisite for membership. PEOPLE are the most important element of this club, which encompasses members from all walks of life, interacting with each other
and the general public to further the image of motorcycling as a safe pastime. Members are informed of planned activities through the club newsletter, which is
published several times throughout the year, and through this web site. These newsletters contain details regarding chapter news and international events and
provide the members with a handy reference guide to plan their riding and vacation calendar.
